Lost Things (also Found Things[1] or Found Objects[2]) are human items that wash up at Beach Cove by the sea. They come from the Mainland.
Story
In the original movie, years before Tinker Bell's Arrival day, lost things were regarded as worthless by Fairy Mary. After her arrival, as she used the lost things to create efficient machines, fairies started looking at them differently and helped gathering many lost things to save the change of the seasons: parts of a perfume bottle and a glove were made into a vacuum cleaner for gathering lost seeds, gears were used for many inventions such as an acorn cracker, and a Music Box was fixed and sent back to its original owner, Wendy Darling.
In Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (film), many lost things can be seen such as playing cards, springs, and a compass.
"Found Things"
In Secret of the Wings, Periwinkle comments she also collects Lost Things, but she called them Found Things. Some of the lost things that can be seen are a paper clip, spring, gear, safety pins, and screws.
In the book In the Realm of the Never Fairies, using lost things (referred to as "found objects") is commonplace among Never Fairies, who never let anything go to waste. For example, a toothbrush is perfect for brushing squirrel tails, an old horseshoe makes an excellent garden gate, and a thimble is just the right size for a fairy bucket.
In The Pirate Fairy, Zarina said now even she uses them.
