"Sizzle! Roast! Fry! Crisped another fairy!"
— Kyto, at the battle[src]

Kyto is an evil (so evil that Captain James Hook's villainy pales by comparison) dragon who lives in Never Land. He was imprisoned on Torth Mountain by Peter Pan, the Lost Boys, and the fairy queen before Queen Clarion.

Story

Saving the Egg

When the Mother Dove's Egg was in danger, the questers Rani, Vidia, and Prilla set out in search of three rare objects: a feather from the Golden Hawk, Captain Hook's silver double cigar holder, and a mermaid's comb. They hoped to trade them with Kyto, the dragon, so that he would restore the egg in exchange for adding the treasures to his hoard.

When the quest fairies arrived at his cave, a raven flew past but was instantly roasted midair by the dragon’s flame. Kyto announced that if they had not come to free him, they should leave at once. Rani admitted that they were too weak for such a task and instead offered the trade, which Kyto listened to with interest. When the dragon demanded to see the objects, Rani nervously reached for the balloon carrier, but Vidia stopped her, warning that Kyto might attack if he saw them too soon. Instead, Rani began to describe the items in detail, rare treasures that would make Kyto’s hoard one of the greatest among dragons. Excited, Kyto demanded the treasures immediately, promising not to eat them if they handed them over. The fairies, however, refused unless he helped them first, adding that the items would otherwise be put on display. Enraged, Kyto breathed out a ball of fire and demanded to know what they truly wanted in return.

When he noticed that one item was missing, Kyto refused the trade, even though Prilla begged him, explaining that Mother Dove was dying. Realizing the dragon did not care about Mother Dove, Rani offered something far more extraordinary: her own jeweled fairy wings. Prilla pleaded with her not to, but Kyto was thrilled at the thought of owning fairy wings and demanded to see them. Rani, however, insisted that he restore the egg first before he could have them.

Kyto accepted the first two items and rubbed his cheek against them with delight. He tried several times to repair Mother Dove’s Egg with dragon fire, but despite his efforts, the egg stubbornly remained broken. At last, he decided to make one final attempt, summoning a powerful midnight-blue flame. The fire burst out violently, scattering the fairies, but at last it healed the egg, which had been contaminated by his evil.[1]

Destruction of Never Land

In Fairies and the Quest for Never Land, he tricks two Tiffen boys into cutting him out of his cage and starts to destroy Never Land. Vidia is sent to investigate but is then shown to be teaching Kyto to fly after falling in love with him. Finally, Tinker Bell, Gwendolyn, Terence, and the other fairies of Pixie Hollow imprison him again with the help of Vidia. In this book, Kyto kills seven unfortunate fairies. He is now imprisoned in the Kyto Keeper (Tink's invention), the fairies even brought his hoard to him.

Fighting for his Hoard

In A Fairy's Fire, fires keep appearing in Pixie Hollow. At first, the fairies blame Necia, a new fire-talent fairy. But in reality it is the work of a dragon. When the Never Girls investigate to see if Kyto has somehow escaped, it is revealed a new dragon has appeared in Never Land who keeps fighting the chained Kyto and stealing his hoard. Necia drives away the new dragon and the fairies return Kyto's hoard to him.
